Please be informed that our practice does not process payments through medical aid for consultations or treatments.

Below are the fees for consultations with our practitioners:

For First-Time Patients with Mr. Floyd Lebatie: The initial consultation is one hour and is charged at R 1,700.00. Please contact our office directly to schedule this first session. Follow-up sessions, as well as appointments for existing patients, are R 850.00 per half-hour session.

For All Appointments with Mr. Evan Schuman: Initial and follow-up sessions are charged at R800 per half-hour session. Should you have any questions or need assistance with booking, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us on (011) 027 2111.

Patients approved on the Discovery Spinal Conservative Care programme are exempt from the upfront payment as these claims will be processed through Discovery.

Physiotherapy

A session with a physiotherapist at Floyd Lebatie Physiotherapy consists of a detailed assessment and individualised patient treatment using our Systemised Sports Rehab (SSR) Method.

Floyd Lebatie is a highly skilled sports and orthopaedic physiotherapist with a deep passion for athletic performance and community wellness. A graduate of The University of the Witwatersrand, he holds a BSc (Physiotherapy) Honours Degree (2010) and a Sports Physiotherapy (SPT) Certification (2012).

With extensive experience in treating athletes with orthopaedic and sports-related injuries, Floyd has worked with elite teams, including the South African Ladies Hockey Team, the South African Equestrian Vaulting Team, and the South African Men’s Hockey Team. His expertise in injury management, rehabilitation, and movement optimization has made him a trusted name in the field.

Evan Schuman: Sports & Orthopaedic Physiotherapist

Evan is a senior physiotherapist with nearly a decade of experience, specializing in sports and orthopedic rehabilitation, particularly for lower and upper limb injuries. After graduating summa cum laude from the University of the Western Cape in 2017, Evan has built a well- rounded career managing a range of musculoskeletal conditions. His professional interests include working with athletes, having gained valuable experience in rugby and football in both South Africa and New Zealand. Additionally, Evan has completed numerous CPD courses, including Sport Physiotherapy, dry-needling, and strapping, to stay at the forefront of his field. Evan’s approach to physiotherapy is grounded in thorough assessments and creating individualized rehabilitation plans tailored to each patient’s needs. He is passionate about promoting evidence-based practice, which is reflected in his role as a contributing author for the Sport Injury Bulletin and his regular presentations on condition-specific topics. Jamie Thomas: Sports & Orthopaedic Physiotherapist

Jamie Thomas is a dedicated sports physiotherapist passionate about helping athletes recover, prevent injuries, and enhance performance. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2022, he gained hands-on experience working with athletes across various sports, including rugby, hockey, and football. His expertise lies in injury management, movement mechanics, and return-to-play strategies.

With a strong interest in golf, football, and cricket, Jamie specializes in rehabilitation, mobility training, and strength & conditioning to help athletes perform at their best. He is committed to providing individualized care that improves movement, accelerates recovery, and minimizes the risk of injury.

Outside of the practice, Jamie enjoys spending time on the golf course, training in calisthenics at the gym, and exploring new food spots with friends and family.
